Ozzy Osbourne’s Ozzfest has hinted at a comeback in 2027.

A recent Instagram post from the festival’s official account stirred speculation with a post, which read, “Will Ozzfest return in 2027?” This comes shortly after Sharon Osbourne confirmed talks to revive the festival as a tribute to her late husband.

Ozzfest last ran as a full festival in 2018, with a special New Year’s Eve edition in 2019, but Sharon believes fans are more eager than ever for a full-scale return.

As per Sharon, discussions with Live Nations have started to bring the legendary traveling festival back on a much bigger scale, and truly global.

“It was something Ozzy was very passionate about: giving young talent a stage in front of a lot of people. We really started metal festivals in this country,” she said while speaking to Billboard.

“It was (replicated but) never done with the spirit of what ours was, because ours was a place for new talent. It was like summer camp for kids,” she added.

She seemingly wants to advance the Ozzfest brand for younger audiences, teasing a lineup that blends metal with complementary genres to match the way fans enjoy music today.
