Ahmedabad5 February. The lawn of Belvedere Club in Shantigram witnessed a unique gesture of service on Thursday evening. It was a moment of satisfaction as Adani Mangal Seva completed one year of its launch. This occasion reminds of a special decision taken by Diva and Jeet Adani before their wedding day on February 7, 2025. This decision was to make the important milestone of personal life purposeful and celebrate the event inspired by the spirit of service. The event was more than just a memorable moment, confirming that a silent promise had been fully kept.

Adani Mangal Seva completes one year, assistance provided to 500 disabled women

What started as an individual resolution has evolved into a comprehensive social security programme. This program provides dignity, independence and continuity of life to 500 disabled women every year. Under this initiative of Adani Mangal Seva, assistance was provided to disabled women in the age group of 25 to 40 years. Beneficiary women holding Unique Disability Identification Card (UDID) cards have been identified under the Youth for Jobs Project.

Adani Mangal Seva ensures a fixed monthly income

Every beneficiary in Adani Mangal Seva gets a fixed deposit (FD) of Rs 10 lakh in partnership with State Bank of India (SBI). This initiative ensures a fixed monthly income. The beneficiary gets the principal amount after 10 years. Through this, long-term financial security is available instead of one-time assistance. Under the programme, it has been resolved to provide assistance to 500 disabled women every year. An amount of Rs 50 crore has been allocated every year to continue this initiative.

Mangal Seva is an effort to carry forward the core mantra of ‘Service is Sadhana’ of Adani Group Founder and Chairman Gautam Adani. That is, service should be continuous, disciplined and associated with responsibility, and not mere symbolism. This philosophy has given a special shape to the Seva initiative, transforming a family effort into a sustainable social commitment.

The evening program concluded in a very gentle and friendly atmosphere. Access to beneficiaries and their family groups. The program began with prayers and reflection, followed by a presentation reiterating the core principle of Adani Mangal Seva that prosperity is meaningful when it creates sustainable opportunities for others. The most important moment was when FD certificates were distributed among the beneficiaries. The feeling of satisfaction and security is clearly visible on the faces of those who received the certificate.

Gautam Adani gave hearty wishes to son and daughter-in-law

Cultural performances like Garba and fusion music presented by the Blind Association of Ahmedabad enthralled the audience. Expressing happiness on this occasion, Gautam Adani wrote in a post on social media platform X – ‘Jeet and Diva are completing one year of their married life. Hearty congratulations to him on this happy occasion.

Gautam Adani wrote, ‘On this day last year, he had taken a pledge of ‘Mangal Seva’, under which he pledged to provide financial support of Rs 10 lakh per sister to 500 newly married disabled sisters every year, which is still moving ahead with the same dedication. This is a matter of immense satisfaction and gratitude for me.

Gautam Adani releases coffee table book of Adani Mangal Seva

During the event, Gautam Adani released the Coffee Table Book of Adani Mangal Seva, which compiles journeys of change, telling stories of struggle and success. The evening concluded with a communal dinner.

Adani Mangal Seva completed its first year and provided proof that when purpose outweighs opportunity, the impact can be much broader. From the extensive service work done during the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj to supporting pilgrims during the Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri last year, the basic mantra has remained the same: true prosperity is in service and service done with dignity, purpose and consistency becomes a form of devotion itself.
