India concludes T20 series by defeating New Zealand

Thiruvananthapuram: The final match of the 5-match T20 series between India and New Zealand was played at the Greenfield Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram. In this match, India defeated New Zealand by 46 runs and won the series 4-1. Chasing the target of 271 runs, the visiting team was restricted to only 225 runs.

India scored 271 runs

India won the toss and decided to bat first and scored 271 runs at the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs. In this innings, Ishan Kishan scored a brilliant century and took his team to a strong position. Suryakumar Yadav also played a quick inning of 63 runs. Apart from this, Hardik Pandya contributed 42 runs and Abhishek Sharma contributed 30 runs.

Ishan Kishan’s explosive century

Ishan Kishan let his innings fly by scoring 103 runs in 43 balls and remaining unbeaten. During this, he hit 10 sixes and 6 fours. Suryakumar Yadav played an inning of 63 runs in 30 balls, which included 6 sixes and 4 fours. Hardik Pandya put the team in a strong position by scoring 42 runs in just 17 balls. Sanju Samson once again proved to be a flop, he gave a disappointing performance. Lockie Ferguson took 2 wickets for New Zealand.

Finn Allen challenged

While chasing the target, New Zealand lost the wicket of Tim Seifert for 17 runs in the first over, who could score only 5 runs. Nevertheless, Finn Allen and Rachin Ravindra continued to try.
