Roorkee Road Accident: Two college students died, while one student was seriously injured in a tragic road accident in Roorkee on Wednesday afternoon. The accident occurred when the three students were returning home on the same bike after school leave from BSM School. His bike collided with a roadways bus coming from the front near Rampur octroi, due to which there was chaos on the spot.

This is the identity of the dead

According to the information, the deceased have been identified as Amrit and Teluram alias Suraj. Both were residents of Nanhera Anantapur police station Bhagwanpur and Saliar Salhapur Kotwali Ganganahar area. The student injured in the accident, Soni, who is a resident of Nanhera Anantapur, was admitted to the Civil Hospital in a critical condition, where after first aid, he was referred to a higher center.

This is how the accident happened

According to eyewitnesses, the accident happened at around 2 pm. The roadways bus coming at high speed hit the bike hard from the front. The collision was so severe that the bike was blown apart and the students fell away on the road. People nearby immediately reached the spot and took the injured to the hospital. Angry local people surrounded the roadways bus and caught the driver.

On receiving the information, Ganganahar Kotwali police reached the spot and took the situation under control. The police took possession of the damaged bike and bus and sent the bodies of both the deceased to the civil hospital mortuary for post-mortem.

Ganganahar Kotwali Senior Sub Inspector Deep Kumar told the media that two students died on the spot in the accident, while the condition of the third is critical. The bus driver has been detained by the police for questioning. He told that after receiving the complaint of the victim party, a case will be registered under relevant sections.

According to the police, the exact cause of the accident is being investigated. In the preliminary investigation, it is believed that this accident happened due to high speed and vehicle coming from the wrong side of the road. After the incident, there is an uproar among the families of the deceased students and there is an atmosphere of mourning in the entire area.
