The Bengal Files Opening Collection: 'The Bengal Files', directed by Vivek Agnihotri, has made a slow start at the box office. Despite this, this has proved to be his second largest opener film in the last 9 years. It has surpassed his previous film 'The Vaccine War'. But compared to 'The Kashmir files', its opening has been less than half. Adorned with actors like Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty and Darshan Kumar, the film has been released across the country except West Bengal and it has been from the clash tiger Shroff and Sanjay Dutt starrer 'Baaghi 4', which is the Moss Action Thriller film.

According to trade reports, 'The Bengal Files' released amidst controversies has made a net collection of about Rs 1.75 crore in India on the first day. Comparing Vivek Agnihotri's previous film 'The Vaccine War', 'The Bengal Files' has almost opened with a huge amount. The first day of Nana Patekar starrer 'The Vaccine War' earned around 70 lakh rupees.

Files Triology's second largest opener

If Vivek Agnihotri only talks about the films of Files Triology, 'The Bengal Files' has opened up about half from 'The Kashmir Files' and about four times the amount from 'The Tashkent Files'. 'The Kashmir Files' earned around Rs 3.55 crore on the first day and the opening collection of 'The Tashkent Files' was around Rs 40 lakh.

Vivek Agnihotri's 5th largest opener became 'The Bengal Files'

'The Bengal Files' has proved to be the fifth largest opener film of Vivek Agnihotri's career. It has excluded 'Chocolate' adorned with artists like Anil Kapoor, Irfan Khan, Emraan Hashmi, Arshad Warsi, Sunil Shetty and Tanushree Dutta released in 2005. In 2005, 'Chocolate' collected about 85 crores on the first day.
