Narendra modi reliafe tour: Heavy rains and floods have caused havoc in the hilly and plains states, causing the common life to become completely disturbed. In view of this critical situation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is soon going to visit the most affected states, so that relief works can be reviewed and necessary help can be ensured. According to sources, the central government is trying to control the situation with the states.


Delhi-NCR, Yamuna on boom, waterlogging in sectors
The Yamuna river is flowing above the danger mark due to continuous rains in Delhi and its surrounding areas. Areas like Sector-135 and Sector-151 of Noida have been flooded up to 3-4 feet, due to which people are imprisoned in homes. The administration has started relief work, but the situation is still serious.


School closed in Haryana, society submerged in Gurugram
Schools have been closed due to heavy rains in Panchkula, Hisar, Rohtak, Jhajjar and other districts of Haryana. Women and children were stranded in homes due to waterlogging in Gurugram’s Signature Global Salora Society. The administration has started relief and rescue operations as a precaution.



Pond wall collapsed in Ajmer, 1000 houses submerged
More than 1,000 houses were flooded due to the collapse of the Boraj pond in Ajmer district on Thursday night. The strong currents of water also damaged vehicles and houses. In the overnight rescue operation, people were evacuated from the roofs.


43 deaths so far due to floods in Punjab, millions affected
Flood havoc has been seen the most in Punjab. So far, 43 people have died and crops have been ruined on 1.71 lakh hectares of land. 1,655 villages are affected and more than 3.55 lakh people are in crisis. However, there is no rain alert for the next five days, due to which some relief is expected.


Kashmir, landslide and cloudburst destruction
Due to heavy rains and landslides in Jammu and Kashmir, many routes including Jammu-Srinagar highway have been closed. In Ramban district, 283 houses were damaged due to cloudburst and about 950 people were evacuated to safe places. The water level of Jhelum river has come down at the moment, but schools and colleges will remain closed till 6 September.


Constant rains and floods in many parts of the country have severely affected life. It is expected from Prime Minister Modi’s visit that relief work will accelerate and necessary assistance will be ensured by the central government.
