There are many types of chaat available in the market, but most of them are not very good for health, despite being full of taste. Tasty chana chaat is also healthy. People's mouth starts watering just by hearing its name. To make it, chickpeas are soaked overnight. You can start your day with it in a great way. It can also help in keeping you energetic throughout the day. It can also be eaten as a snack with evening tea. Chickpeas are a treasure trove of nutrients. It benefits the body in many ways. Chana chaat is easy to make and is ready quickly. Whenever you feel like eating something spicy, you can rely on this dish.



Ingredients


Soaked black chickpeas – 1 cup
Finely chopped onion – 1/4 cup
Chopped tomatoes – 3/4 cup
Green chili paste – 1/2 tsp
Boiled chopped potatoes – 1/2 cup
Coriander leaves – 2 tbsp
Raw mango chopped – 1/2 tbsp (optional)
Lemon juice – 3-4 tsp
Garam masala – 1/4 tsp
Red chili powder – 1/4 tsp
Chat masala – 2 tsp
Butter – 2 tbsp
Salt – as per taste


Recipe


- First of all, take black chickpeas and clean and wash them. Now, put chickpeas in a bowl and soak them in water overnight.


- Next day, strain the chickpeas and separate the water. Now, put black chickpeas in a pressure cooker and add water as required and cook till 4-5 whistles.


- After this, turn off the gas and wait for the pressure of the cooker to release automatically. Then open the cooker, strain the chickpeas, separate the water, and keep the chickpeas in a bowl.


- Now put butter in a non-stick pan and heat it on medium flame. After the butter melts, add finely chopped onion and green chili paste and fry for 2-3 minutes.


- Then add finely chopped tomatoes, chili powder, chaat masala and garam masala and cook until the tomatoes become completely soft.


- Now put boiled potatoes and chickpeas in the pan and mix well. After cooking potatoes and chickpeas for some time, add green coriander leaves and lemon juice and mix.


- After this, let the chickpea chaat cook for 2 to 3 minutes more. Keep stirring it in between. After this, turn off the gas. Now the chickpea chaat is ready.
