– Monitoring is currently being done through drones, geo fencing, integrated monitoring mechanisms, RFID mining tag and AI based checkgates
– Now Yogi government will save time, accuracy 100 percent in preparing to effectively curb illegal mining through ‘Weight in Motion’ technology
– Technical and financial proposals have been invited from the government, agencies for survey and monitoring of mining areas.
– To make mining services digital and transparent, the Yogi government started the process of connecting upminemitra.in portal to the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate
Lucknow . The Yogi government is resorting to modern technology to prevent illegal mining and transportation. For this, several steps are being taken under the Integrated Mining Monitoring Mechanism (IMSS). Drone, geo-fencing, RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) are already being monitored through mining tags and AI based checkgates. Now the government is preparing to implement the ‘Wait in Motion’ (WIM) technology, which will ensure 100 percent accuracy along with saving time. This technique will make effective control over overloading of vehicles.
IOT/AI based checkgates have been integrated from Command Center
The Department of Ghosts and Miners has taken several technical measures to further strengthen the monitoring of the mining areas. Mineral transport is being monitored through geo-fencing of mining areas, camera containing camera and rfid tags on vehicles. In addition, 57 unmanned IOT/AI (Internet of Things/Artificial Intelligence) based checkgates have been installed in 25 districts, which have been integrated from the command center of the Directorate. At the same time, the department has also sought cooperation from the Transport Commissioner for the establishment of WIM plant, so that illegal mining and transport can be completely banned.
Yogi government’s emphasis on making mining activities more transparent
The government has sought technical and financial proposals from institutions like UP Electronics, UP Desko and SriTron India Limited to promote the use of drones for survey and monitoring of mining areas. This step will help prevent illegal mining and make mining activities more transparent. Drone technology will make it possible to take exact monitoring and survey of mining areas, so that immediate action will be taken on illegal activities.
The process of linking ‘UP Mine Mitra’ portal with ‘environment portal’ started
Along with this, the Yogi government has started the process of connecting upminemitra.in portal with the environment portal of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate to make mining services digital and transparent. This will make effective monitoring of the process of environmental hygiene certificate and accelerates action in mining areas. This initiative of the Yogi government will not only prevent illegal mining, but will also make the mining process more systematic and environmentally friendly.
What is weight in motion technology
Weight in Motion is a modern technology that measures the weight of heavy vehicles, such as mining trucks or cargo vehicles, while weighing them. This system uses road sensors that record vehicle weight, speed and other information without stopping. This saves time, increases functionality and improves road safety. In industries such as mining, it helps to prevent overloading, follow rules and improve tasks based on data. The WIM system sends data for immediate analysis, which gives operators information in real time. This technique is also helpful in reducing costs and reducing the impact on the environment.
