Bollywood movies: The film Ajay: The Untold Story of a Yogi producers CBFC have knocked on the delay in the film’s Certificate based on the life of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. For a long time, Yogi has been eagerly waiting for Adityanath’s fan film to be released. But seeing the delay in its release, the director has resorted to the law.

The petition alleged that the CBFC is adopting an arbitrary and delayed attitude regarding the application of the certification of the film. Makers want the film to be released on 1 August 2025. But due to lack of certification, the release of the film is constantly getting delayed.

High court issued notice to CBFC

A bench of Justice Revathi Mohite Dera and Justice Dr. Neela Gokhale has issued a notice to CBFC while hearing a petition filed on behalf of Emperor Cinematic India Private Limited. The petition demanded that he take a decision on the certification of the film soon.

Chief Minister Yogi’s biographies

The CBFC has demanded to bring a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Chief Minister’s Office of Uttar Pradesh (CMO), which has objected to the manufacturers. The film is said to be inspired by writer Shantanu Gupta’s popular book ‘The Monk Hu Bikem Chief Minister’. The film is based on the life of Yogi Adityanath, who is telling the journey from becoming a saint to the Chief Minister.
