Celebrity Masterchef winner Gaurav Khanna compares his journey on the show with his career; says 'Wahan par bhi shuruwat mein takleef hui thi'
After three months of intense competition, Gaurav Khanna recently emerged as the winner of the first season of Celebrity Masterchef . The popular television actor took home the coveted trophy, Masterchef Coat and Rs 20 lakh cash prize. While fans thought they would miss watching Gaurav, judges and the other contestants as the show got its winner, the makers introduced an interesting twist for the audience.
After winning the cooking reality show, Gaurav and the other contestants are back with Celebrity Masterchef Masterclass in which they will be seen playing interesting games and also cooking new recipes along with a few home cooks from the previous Masterchef seasons. The first episode of the Celebrity Masterchef Masterclass started with a recap of Gaurav Khanna's journey. The makers played a video of his journey about how he was an underdog and emerged as the winner.
While talking about his journey Gaurav shared in the episode, "My Masterchef journey has been quite similar to my career.Jaise wahan par shuruwat mein takleef hui thi, yahan bhi starting mein thoda alag tha. It was a new place and I was not from here. The show was out of my comfort zone."
He further shares that he has fallen in love with the counter of Masterchef and is not able to detach himself.
He started the episode by welcoming previous Masterchef contestants like Survarna and Priyanka from season 7 and Prachi from season 8, along with Nikki Tamboli . Contestant Prachi reveals that she has always seen Gaurav on television screens and she and her mom are huge fans of his character Anuj Kapadia from Anupamaa. Gaurav took over the Masterclass kitchen but he was interrupted by Chef Vikas Khanna , who pulled his leg by saying, "Mere pehle bhi bahot khanne aaye aur mere baad bhi bahot khanne aayenge."
Chef Vikas Khanna praised Gaurav and shared how proud he is of him. Chef Vikas and Gaurav taught the audience two recipes during the masterclass. Chef Vikas Khanna cooked 'Kiss of Kashmir' which is the most famous recipe of his restaurant Bungalow.
Gaurav Khanna also cooked his recipe 'Pista and Rose Ice Cream' which he cooked during the festival special episode.
