Yusuf Pathan: The protest of the Waqf Amendment Act took the form of violence in the Muslim -majority Murshidabad district on Friday. During the violence, dozens of houses and shops were targeted and police vans and many other vehicles were set on fire. Three people were killed during this period, while 17 people, including 15 policemen, were also injured. Meanwhile, TMC MP and former cricketer Yusuf Pathan has been engulfed in controversies due to one of his posts.
In fact, people are expressing displeasure against Mamta government and their leaders on social media about violence in Murshidabad. The Leader of Opposition in West Bengal Assembly, Shubhendu Adhikari has even said that Bengal is not able to be careful with Mamata Banerjee, she should seek help from the Center. To control the situation, the center should take off the army. At the same time, TMC MP from Baharampur Yusuf Pathan is being accused of fun amid political fierce violent protests against the Waqf law.
TMC MP Yusuf Pathan shared some pictures on Instagram two days ago i.e. on Friday. In which he is seen drinking tea and sitting under the tree and enjoying the weather. Sharing the pictures, he wrote, 'Relaxed afternoon, good tea and calm environment. Just enjoying the moment. ' After this post, Yusuf Pathan has come under target of the people. Apart from this, BJP national spokesperson Shahzad Poonawala has also criticized him.
Shahzad Poonawala said, “Mamta Banerjee picked up a cricketer named Yusuf Pathan from somewhere and the vote bank won it in Baharampur and today when Bengal is burning, Hindus are being selected, Yusuf Pathan is enjoying a cup of tea… This is the priority of TMC that the Pathan Saheb will take tea and the night is being burnt while the slavery is being burnt.”
