Where to see retro
Retro will start streaming on Netflix after completing its theater business. Announcing on X, the OTT veteran wrote, “A man's love can shake the mountains, but his anger? It's retro! After releasing in Retro, theater, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada are coming on Netflix in Kannada!”

Retro manufacturers had earlier released a teaser, in which Surya and Pooja Hegde are sitting on the ghat of Varanasi, and the evening aarti is going on in the background. As soon as Pooja ties a band on Surya's wrist, Surya makes a heartfelt vow to control her anger and leave her father's legacy and leave violence. He declares that his sole purpose is love – pure love. Then he asks if they should get married.
Pooja smiles, kissing on the forehead and grabbing her hand and shaking her head. At the same time, a glimpse of Surya's disturbed past appears on the screen, in which he is shown to be entangled in violent quarrels, punching the walls, drinking alcohol and smoking. The teaser also featured the strong roles played by Jairam and Jujo George.

The retro directed by Karthik Subbaraj is produced by Kartikeyan Santhanam, Jyothika and Surya. Shreyas Krishna handles cinematography for Krishna retro, while Shafiq Mohammad Ali handles the editing work. The music of the film is prepared by Santosh Narayanan.
On the other hand, Surya plays Kannan and Pooja Hegde plays Rukmini in the film. Baby Avni played the role of young Rukmini. The actors include Jujo George, who plays Parvvel's father, as well as Jairam, Karunakaran, Nasar, Prakash Raj and Sujit Shankar in important roles.
