The 29th match of IPL 2025 is underway between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Mumbai Indians (MI) in Delhi, with DC electing to field first after winning the toss. MI openers got off to a solid start, with South African batter Ryan Rickelton scoring a quick 41 off 25 balls.

Following the fall of a couple of wickets, came in and took charge, dominating the DC bowlers. In the 13th over, bowled by Vipraj Nigam, Varma attempted a big shot off a tossed-up delivery outside off but ended up miscuing it high into the air. The DC fielders and Jake Fraser-McGurk, coming in from long-on and deep midwicket respectively, had a mix-up. Stubbs feared a collision with his fellow DC player but eventually went for the catch. The hesitation left him out of position as the ball was spilled off his hands and ran to the boundary for four.

Meanwhile, MI batters are in control, maintaining a healthy run rate. Rickelton and Suryakumar Yadav (40 off 28) got out to left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav. In the end, Vipraj Nigam and Kuldeep Yadav finished their spells picking two wickets each. Nigam claimed the wickets of the opener Rohit Sharma and the MI skipper Hardik Pandya.

Mumbai Indians have won just one out of their five matches so far and standing at ninth in the points table, and they are desperate to bounce back and revive their IPL 2025 campaign. On the other hand, DC are at the top of the points table with four wins in four games and are looking to maintain their winning streak in the tournament.
