Maignan charged off his line to intercept a dangerous ball played into Milan’s defensive half but collided heavily with teammate Alex Jimenez in the process. The impact was severe, sending both players to the ground and immediately halting play despite Udinese being in a prime scoring position.
Maignan lay motionless for a brief but alarming moment, prompting immediate concern from players and fans alike. Medical staff rushed to his aid, and he was stretchered off the pitch. Marco Sportiello came on to replace him in the 55th minute.
