Actress Mouni Roy is back in the limelight, but not for her fashion or acting. This time, it’s her altered look—particularly her forehead—that’s making waves on the internet.
Some think she has overdone the Botox. Others believe she might have undergone forehead reduction surgery.
This procedure, also referred to as hairline lowering, is a cosmetic operation. It serves to minimize the forehead size in order to enhance facial harmony. A part of the skin of the forehead is excised, and the hairline is shifted downward. It typically lasts 2 to 3 hours and is performed under general anesthesia.
The procedure has existed for years and is sometimes used instead of a hair transplant. Like all surgeries, it has risks—such as scarring, numbness, or uneven results.
Fans noticed Mouni’s forehead looks smaller and more sculpted. She hasn’t confirmed or denied any surgery.
However, many things can affect how someone looks—makeup, hairstyle, lighting, camera angles, or age. Botox and fillers can also make facial expressions look stiff.
Ultimately, it’s her face and her choice. Whether she did or not, it does make one wonder—why do we judge others so readily based on looks?
Beauty standards evolve, and celebrities are under scrutiny all the time. A little compassion can work wonders.
