Match 27 of the Indian Premier League 2025 saw Sunrisers Hyderabad emerge victorious by eight wickets in an absolute run-fest of a game against Punjab Kings at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Saturday, April 12.
Skipper, Shreyas Iyer, top-scored for PBKS with 82 off 36 deliveries. He carried on from the wonderful platform which was set up in the powerplay, with the first six overs resulting in 89 runs. A couple of wickets by Harshal Patel (4/42) saw the momentum shift towards the back end. Marcus Stoinis smashed four sixes off Mohammed Shami to end the innings on a high.
Travis Head and replicated the start PBKS got off to in the powerplay. Head departed for 66 off 37 deliveries, but the damage had already been done. Abhishek blasted his way to a scorching ton on the final ball of the 13th over. He walked back to the pavilion after slamming 141 off 55 balls and breaking all sorts of records. The game concluded with Heinrich Klaasen (21* off 14) finishing things off.

The southpaw wasted no time in the middle to get going. It was truly Abhishek's night as he steamrolled the opposition bowling attack with some unreal hitting. Abhishek's superlative innings was the main reason why SRH hunted down the total with nine deliveries to spare.
