Credit or Debit Card on Google Pay in Android: Want to make it easily paying using your credit or debit card? Now, Google Pay makes it easy and safe. With progress in technology, Google Pay has a feature that allows users to use their credit and debit cards for various digital transactions, even if you do not have physically cards.

Google Pay uses a safe technique called 'Tokanization', which replaces your real card number with a virtual number or “token”. This token is used for transactions, hiding your actual card details and protected from potential fraud or misuse. Remandable, this feature is available only on the Android version of the GPAY application.

With just a few taps, this article will tell you how to link your credit or debit card and start paying for your favorite services, online shopping or in-store items, which makes every time you ensure a simple and troublesome experience when you make offline merchants and online digital platforms such as Amazon, Flipkart, Eternal etc.

How to add credit or debit card to Google Pay

Step 1: Open the Google Pay app on your mobile device.

Step 2: Tap your profile photo in the upper right corner of the screen.

Step 3: Select “Pay Credit or Debit Card” from the menu.

Step 4: To start the process, tap on “Credit or Debit Card”.

Step 5: Choose “Add the card” and either scan your card or enter the details manually.

Step 6: After entering the card details, tap on “more” and accept the terms and conditions.

Step 7: Google Pay will contact your bank for verification. Cut the OTP or authentication through your bank's method.

Step 8: After entering OTP, tap on “submit”. If verified, your card will be successfully added.

UPI transactions to bank accounts will be free. However, starting from 2025, Google Pay has introduced the facility fee on bill payment made through credit cards including Rupay. These fees are between 0.5 percent to 1 percent, as well as the applied GST, and vary depending on the type of transaction.
