The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has extended the deadline to apply for the second phase of the PM Internship Scheme. Now eligible and interested candidates have more time to apply. Earlier its deadline was fixed as 31 March 2025, which has now been extended to 15 April 2025.

What is the PM Internship Scheme?

This scheme was launched by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs and was announced in the Union Budget 2024. It aims to provide 1 crore internship opportunities to the youth during the next five years.

Benefits of the PM Internship Scheme

12 months internship in top companies in India

Monthly assistance of Rs 4500 from the Government of India and Rs 500 from the company

A one-time grant of Rs 6000 for contingency expenses

The Government of India provides insurance coverage for each intern under Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana.

Who can apply?

Age: 21- 24 years

Education: Must have passed at least class 10th. Graduation from premier institutes (IITs and IIMS) and professional qualification (CA) are not included in this.

Employment status: Should not be in full-time employment.

Income restriction: Family income should not exceed Rs 8 lakh per annum. Families with government employees are not eligible for this.

How to apply?

Candidates have to visit the official website of PM Internship pminternship.mca.gov.in.

Then go to the homepage and scroll down to see the registration option.

After that fill in the registration details and upload the required documents.

Now submit your application and download the confirmation page.

Keep a hard copy of it for further need.

No fee will be charged to the candidates for applying. A resume of the candidates will be prepared based on the application. Each candidate can apply for a maximum of five opportunities.
