The high-profile case of Deputy SP Shrestha Thakur, popularly known as Lady Singham, has taken a dramatic turn. Her ex-husband, Rohit Kumar Singh, has come forward with explosive claims, holding a press conference in Ara, Bihar, to tell his side of the story after his recent release from jail.

Rohit shared that his relationship with Shrestha began in 2017 on Facebook. The initial connection soon turned into frequent chats, leading to their first meeting in Lucknow. According to Rohit, after spending a night together in a hotel, Shrestha allegedly pressured him into marriage at gunpoint. The couple first married in a temple in August 2017, followed by a social ceremony in July 2018 in Patna, witnessed by both families.

Rohit claims:

• He has a six-year-old son with Shrestha, whom she renamed without his consent.
• Shrestha filed for divorce in December 2021 and later an FIR accusing him of fraud, leading to his arrest on February 10, 2024.
• He was charged under IPC Sections 368 and 367 in a case filed at Kaushambi Police Station, Ghaziabad.
• He alleges dowry inconsistencies, citing varying claims from Shrestha and her family ranging from ₹1 crore to ₹2.5 crore.

Rohit further accused Shrestha of:

• Manipulating the police system to suppress him.
• Denying him access to his son since 2021.
• Wanting him to sever ties with his family and live as a "ghar jamai" (resident son-in-law).
• Using her mother’s influence to create family rifts—mentioning that two of his brothers’ marriages had also broken under similar circumstances.

On the other hand, DSP Shrestha Thakur had earlier filed a case claiming:

• Rohit introduced himself as an IRS officer posted in Ranchi under the name Rohit Raj Singh.
• After marriage, she discovered he was not a government officer, but a coaching center operator.
• She filed a case accusing him of fraud, deception, and misusing her identity for financial gain.
• She alleged that he withdrew ₹15 lakh from her account using a forged signature to buy land in Lucknow.

Additionally, Shrestha filed cases against Rohit, his father Sharan Singh, and his brother Sanjit Singh, escalating the legal battle.

Rohit says he:

• Never hid his identity, revealing early on that he ran a coaching institute in Ranchi.
• Gave three UPSC interviews but never cleared the exam.
• Has now filed a counter-case in Ghaziabad alleging police harassment.

With the divorce still pending in court, the case between Lady Singham and Rohit Singh continues to unfold with serious allegations from both sides. The court is yet to decide on the police harassment claims filed by Rohit.
