Recently many users who took loan from Cred app have complained that their EMI has been deducted twice. After this people are searching for options to get refund.

This can happen due to technical fault, payment partner's mistake or error in auto-debit settings. Cred described this problem as payment partner's processing fault.

If this has happened to you too, then you can get a refund. Cred promised to give refund within 24 hours.

How to get refund

1. Refund from Cred Support

You can register a complaint by going to the support or help section of the Cred app. You will have to share details of transactions like date, amount, bank statement in your complaint.

2. Complain through email

If you want, you can also register a complaint by emailing Cred's official email `grievanceofficer@cred.club. For this, you will have to provide information like loan account number, date of double debit, and amount.

3. You can get a refund by contacting the bank

If you do not get a response from the Cred app, you can contact your bank. For which you will have to complain about double transaction and request for a refund. Refund will be obtained by the bank by contacting Cred or Cred's payment partner.

4. Complaint to Consumer Forum or RBI

If even after complaining, the refund is not received within 24 to 48 hours, then you can complain about this matter to RBI's online portal or consumer forum.

Pay special attention to these things.

- You should keep checking your EMI date and bank statement regularly. So that immediate action can be taken in case of such a double deduction.

- Verify auto-debit savings to avoid such a mistake in the future.

- Read the terms and conditions carefully before taking a loan from anywhere.
