Pooja Hegde, the 34-year-old Indian actress with over a decade of experience in the entertainment industry, recently shared that she was rejected for a Tamil film audition. Despite her successful career, having worked with major stars like Salman Khan, Prabhas, and Shahid Kapoor, and appearing in films such as Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, Radhe Shyam, Deva, Housefull 4, and Mohenjo Daro, Pooja revealed that she still auditions for roles.
In a recent interview, she disclosed that she had auditioned for a Tamil film but was turned down because the filmmakers felt she was too young for the role. Instead, they cast an older actress. Despite this setback, Pooja expressed her continued support for the audition process, emphasizing that it helps actors challenge themselves and should not be feared. She explained that she prefers to audition for roles as it allows her to prove her suitability for the character.
Pooja encouraged others not to let their ego interfere with the process. She pointed out that many people are not even called for auditions, and instead of viewing rejection negatively, it should be seen as an opportunity to improve.
