Path of Exile 2 Dawn of the Hunt release timeThe Path of Exile 2 Dawn of the Hunt release time is set for 7pm UTC, on Friday, April 4. Servers will be down for a few hours beforehand, but this is when they should be up and running for you to jump in. Here's what the Path of Exile 2 release time is in your time zone:
If you're on or , then you'll be pleased to hear that Path of Exile 2 Dawn of the Hunt preload is live now for consoles, coming in at approximately 27GB, according to GGG. You'll be able to play the game in its current version until the launch of today's Dawn of the Hunt update update 0.2.0.
PCThings are slightly different on PC, with a torrent for the developer's standalone PC client being available now, prior to the update going live. As GGG notes, "this method, while available earlier, makes it a larger update as it includes all the existing client content". It adds that once patching begins for Path of Exile 2 Dawn of the Hunt update, there'll be a "few remaining files that you’ll need to update as well."
Without the torrent, using or the standalone launcher will let you download the Path of Exile 2 Dawn of the Hunt update roughly two hours before the league launches. The file size on PC is around 31GB on the standalone client and Steam.
Another point to note for newcomers who may not be aware, is that the torrent is aimed at players who have a sluggish internet connection, are using the standalone client, and want to play as soon as the league launches. Otherwise, GGG says if you have "decent internet" (giving the example of being able to download 31gb in 2 hours) then you don't need to download the torrent.
