's picturesque real life location hasn't seen an upturn in house prices or people moving to the area despite the BBC shows popularity. While other his shows such as and Bergerac have provided a boost to their famous filming locations Looe in Cornwall has experienced no such ripple effect.

Speaking exclusively to a local estate agent admitted it is very affordable to move to the area but a lack of employment and a reputation as a "holiday area", plus the relative infancy of the show, which launched in 2023, have prevented it reaping the rewards of some other famous locations. "I don't think it's (Beyond Paradise) made any difference to us whatsoever. Beyond Paradise is fairly new. Only part of it is filmed in Looe. I think it probably has a strong fan base but whether that reflects in property and property prices, I'm not sure," he said.

The show, which is a spin off of , is set in the fictional Devonshire seaside town of Shipton Abbot, stars and .

It has been a hit with viewers since it launched and the beautiful setting is a huge part of its appeal. He said it is very feasible to purchase a property in the area for anyone who has fallen in love with the backdrop of the show.

"Without doubt economically possible to buy here it just depends on where the properties are," he continued.

If you want something on the sea you're going to pay a lot more, like you would anywhere. But (while prices have) gone up with the markets, Beyond Paradise hasn't had any effect on that."

Despite this he is hopeful the show continues so that the area may reap some benefits down the line.

"I really hope Beyond Paradise carries on and it does rub off on us here, because we'd love it to," he said. "It does bring people to the town, but I think more just to see where it is rather than to settle here.

"Because there's not a lot to do around here in the sense that it is a holiday place. Employment is very limited, so they'd probably have to go into Plymouth or wherever, for certain jobs without doubt, and that's 20 miles away."
