April 4, Chennai The director of actor Nani’s next movie, “Hit: The Third Case,” Sailesh Kolanu, has voiced dissatisfaction with some media outlets disclosing information about his movie that the producers had hoped to keep a secret from viewers.
“For every single moment of excitement that our audience experiences in the cinemas, there is a story of a huge team working relentlessly for days and nights together, slogging beyond their physical capabilities,” director Sailesh said on his X timeline. For the impactful moment we want to create in the auditorium. That is something we are proud of.
In his piece, the filmmaker continued by sharing his opinions on the current status of the media.
It’s depressing to see the state of the media nowadays, as some people don’t even stop to consider their actions before disclosing information on the kinds of moments that should only be savored when viewing a film in a theater.
“The ethics and values of individual journalists and media outlets ultimately determine whether it is right or wrong to report the findings, even though the nature of the job to report first is understandable.”
“There are moments in history where journalists raised above their job description and chose not to report some events just because it’s not correct,” he remarked, recalling how journalists in the past used to exercise their judgment and decide not to report some events because it was wrong. That is the type of class I wish this particular group of folks took.
“This kind of reporting is not just stealing a film crew’s hard work, it’s equivalent to stealing directly from the audience,” the director said.
In the movie, Nani portrays Arjun Sarkaar, a strong officer. The third installment in the HIT universe, the movie has raised high expectations among moviegoers and fans. It will premiere on theaters all across the globe on May 1st of this year.
Srinidhi Shetty and Nani will play the main roles in the Dr. Sailesh Kolanu-directed and Prashanthi Tipirneni-produced movie. Sanu John Varghese did the film’s cinematography, while Mickey J. Meyer composed the music. Karthika Srinivas R has done the editing for the movie.
