A school was placed in lockdown this morning after a teacher was attacked. Two teenagers have since been arrested.
Alarms went off and emergency procedures were put in place while the incident was dealt with at around 11.15am. One student, spoke to Teesside Live and said: "We were in third lesson and all of a sudden the lockdown alarms started going off and all the classrooms got locked. Everyone was like 'what's going on?'
"Then we saw one of the teachers bleeding and crying - there was blood on his face. It was awful. It all just went crazy - there were crowds of people trying to get out the school. And then now there's about 200 parents outside the school waiting to get kids."

Parents have now been called to urgently collect their children from the secondary school in Hartlepool. One witness said: "There are kids crying and everything. It's really bad." There are dozens of parents waiting at the school gates for their children.
A number of police cars remain at the scene close to Manor Community Academy. has now confirmed a teacher was assault and two teens have been arrested, .
A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said: "At 11.30am on Thursday 3rd April police were called to Manor Community College in Hartlepool after reports a teacher had been assaulted.
"No weapons were reported to have been used and no other pupils injured. As a precaution, the school put itself on lockdown.
"Officers attended to the scene and two teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of assault and there is no ongoing threat to the pupils or staff within the school."
The Northern Education Trust, which oversees Manor Community Academy, said: "An incident occurred at Northern Education Trust Manor Community Academy today, 3 April 2025, where unauthorised individuals breached the school premises. Staff took immediate effective action to contain the situation, ensuring students were safe by securing classrooms.
"Police were called and attended the academy, removing the intruders. No students were harmed or threatened during the incident; and all students are safe. A number of parents attended the academy when they became aware of the incident and the decision was taken to allow parents to take their children home if they wished to.
"The safety of students and staff is always our prime concern, and the staff who dealt immediately with this situation are to be commended. They acted swiftly and in line with the trust’s established procedures to ensure all children were safe. The academy remains open today and will be open as normal tomorrow."
In a statement by nearby St Teresa's Catholic Primary School posted on , a spokesperson said: "We have received phone calls from concerned parents regarding the police presence at Manor School this morning.
"We have spoken to police who have reassured us not to worry and that our children are safe to play outside. The incident at Manor School is contained and under control."
A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We received a call at 11.58am on Thursday 3 April to reports of an incident at an address on Owton Manor Lane in Hartlepool. Our services were not required."
