Tamannaah Bhatia’s “Aaj Ki Raat” from Stree 2 quickly became a chartbuster, significantly boosting theatre attendance, especially in tier 2 and tier 3 cities. Riding on that success, the makers of Raid 2 have tapped Tamannaah for a special item number that will also feature vocals from Yo Yo Honey Singh, aiming to capture the same mass appeal.

According to the latest report by PeepingMoon, this special promotional track won’t be a part of the film’s storyline but will be featured during the post-credits scene. Choreographed by Vijay Ganguly, who also worked on Tamannaah’s “Aaj Ki Raat,” the music video is set to be filmed at a Mumbai studio on Thursday and Friday.

While this song won’t bring Ajay and Tamannaah together on screen, the duo is already set to reunite for Ranger, directed by Mission Mangal’s Jagan Shakti. This marks their second collaboration after the largely forgettable Himmatwala (2013). Tamannaah is expected to join Ajay on the sets of Ranger once she wraps up filming for this promotional track.

While some fans are eagerly awaiting Tamannaah’s special item song in the film, others believe the makers should focus on creating content-driven cinema like Drishyam instead of opting for another masala entertainer. Many also advised Tamannaah to take on more substantial roles rather than continuing to feature in item songs.
