Bollywood actress Ananya Pandey is set to perform at the opening ceremony ahead of the Mumbai Indians‘ (MI) first home game of the 2025 IPL season, where they will face the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Wankhede Stadium on Monday, March 31.

Hardik Pandya’s Mumbai Indians have faced a tough beginning to this season. They have played two matches so far, suffering losses in both—first to Chennai Super Kings by 4 wickets, and then to Gujarat Titans, led by Shubman Gill, by 36 runs.

Meanwhile, Kolkata Knight Riders also had a challenging start, falling to Royal Challengers Bengaluru by 7 wickets in their opening game. However, they bounced back in their second match with a dominant 8-wicket victory over Rajasthan Royals.

As five-time IPL champions, MI will be eager to secure their first points of the season with a victory over KKR in their home opener.
