Mumbai The Enforcement Directorate (ED) Mumbai has temporarily attacked the movable and immovable assets of directors, group institutions and others in relation to the money laundering case to Messrs Karma Infrastructure Private Limited (KIPL) and Messrs Karma Brahmandable Holmes Private Limited (KBAHPL).
Earlier, in December 2023, the Bombay High Court strongly criticized the Maharashtra Police's investigation into a large -scale housing scam, in which actor Vivek Oberoi was a partner. The actor supported and campaigned with Karma Residency in Dhasai village of Shahpur, Karma Panchatattva in Kasagaon, Shahpur and Housing Projects called Karma Brahmand in Kelway Road in Palghar, causing more than 11,500 buyers trapped without their promises.
Karam Infrastructure launched several affordable housing projects promising low-priced houses under its “Mission 360” initiative, which aims mostly the lower-middle class flat buyers. The developer allegedly used fake and fake documents to woo customers, showing agricultural land incorrectly as non-agricultural land to cheat home buyers.
