She praised India’s achievements in meeting its Nationally Determined Contributions ahead of schedule and expressed confidence in the country’s role as a global green leader.

The President also acknowledged the National Green Tribunal’s (NGT) significant contributions to environmental governance and justice. She encouraged institutions and citizens to actively engage in environmental protection and promotion.

The conference, organized by the NGT, aims to address pressing environmental challenges, share best practices, and develop sustainable action plans for the future. President Murmu expressed hope that India would become a developed nation by 2047, attracting global admiration for its clean air, water, and greenery.
