Lorenz Ferdinand, the son of Manchester United and England legend , has joined seventh-tier side Havant & Waterlooville on work experience. The 18-year-old joins the team from and Hove Albion for the remainder of the season.

After being an last term, the move will see the teenager's first foray into senior football after The Hawks' first choice goalkeeper Ben Dudzinski was been ruled out for the 'foreseeable future' with injury.

A club statement said: "Havant and Waterlooville Club are thrilled to announce that, goalkeeper, Lorenz Ferdinand has joined on work experience from outfit Brighton & Hove Albion for the remainder of the season.

"Ferdinand, 18, came through the set-up at Brighton & Hove Albion where he now continues to refine his trade in their Under-21's set-up.

"Lorenz links up with Shaun North's side for the run-in as the push towards the end of the season continues! We welcome Lorenz to the Hawks and look forward to seeing him in action very soon."

The new Havant and Waterlooville ace is excited to be in a new environment to continue his learning. Ferdinand Jr has already been embraced by his new team-mates and surroundings.
