A man has been killed after being struck by a van at an Oldham roundabout with launching a manhunt. Locals have been told to "avoid the area" as an air ambulance was scrambled to the scene after the fatal crash on Broadway (A663) at the Chadderton Roundabout.
Police and paramedics raced to the scene with officers confirming a hunt was underway to find the driver of the vehicle. The man, believed to be in his 50s, was reportedly killed in a "road rage" incident, according to affiliate . It is thought the driver of the van deliberately struck the victim before speeding away from the scene.

A Greater Police spokesperson said: "Emergency services are responding to reports of a serious assault on Broadway in Chadderton this evening. A van collided with a male pedestrian, who sadly died at the scene.
"Officers are making enquiries to locate the offender. A scene remains in place alongside several road closures in the area." A large scene remains in place following the crash.
Motorists have taken to social media to warn people away from the area this evening due to the large emergency services presence. One person posted: "[The air ambulance] landed on the field next to Rifle Range pub. The roundabout is full of emergency vehicles. Avoid the area it’s rammed."
