A mum whose six-month-old baby's skin was so sore and itchy it would constantly bleed says she has finally found a solution for her . Gemma Leighanne, 34, an administrator from the West Midlands, was at a loss for what to do to help her baby Liviah.
“Liviah’s eczema started when she was around four and a half months old,” Gemma said. “The eczema started on her face and it was horrific. “As she was breastfed I was shocked to see how bad it was. I read that eczema is uncommon in breastfed babies.
“It certainly didn’t make a difference in our case. Liviah’s face was most definitely the worst. It was so itchy she would scratch constantly, and it would bleed. I was at a loss, and I didn't know how to help my poor baby.
“On both visits I was told I had to try different moisturiser creams on the market because it was all trial and error. In our experience the steroid cream made her skin a lot worse as it dried out her face. As she is a mixed race baby it was also taking the pigmentation out of her skin.”

Gemma felt desperate for another solution, trawling the web for other suggestions. “I was searching and searching the Internet for a natural solution as the steroid cream wasn't doing anything,” she said. "I tried nearly every cream on the market, even creams I know worked with my other daughter but none of them seemed to work for Liviah.
“I then stumbled across Balmonds Skin Salvation on Amazon, which is a 100% natural barrier balm that treats the symptoms of eczema and psoriasis. I went on , typed in reviews, and although there weren't very many, the ones I did see were good.
“If I'm honest I am very weary about reviews in today's , as you never know if they are real, but I thought ‘what have I got to lose?’. I took the plunge and ordered it. When it arrived, I bathed my daughter’s face, applied a small layer and didn't rub it in.
