At the Nellore Medicover Cancer Institute, a patient had allogeneic bone marrow transplantation for the first time, according to senior medical oncologist Dr. Rangaraman.

The Medicover Cancer Institute has performed an allogenic bone marrow transplant on a 24-year-old lady from the Nellore region.

Allogenic BMT is essential, and the cost of therapy in major cities is Rs 20 lakh.

However, the same procedure, which is also provided by Medical Management via Aarogyasri, might cost up to 12 lakh in the Nellore Medicover.

On February 5, the patient had a stem cell transplant and significant doses of chemotherapy.

According to Medicover ICU physician Dr. Gowtam, the Medicover Cancer Institute has all departments thanks to the assistance of Director Harikrishna and Medicover Chairman Dr. Anil Krishna Reddy.

Aarogyasri provides treatment to the underprivileged.
