Celebrity MasterChef: Usha Nadkarni gets eliminated before Semi Finale; Faisu cries inconsolably, holding himself responsible for the eviction
The latest episode of Celebrity MasterChef witnessed the most emotional eviction of the season as it not only broke down the home cooks but even the judges . Usha Nadkarni who is fondly known as the Maa of MasterChef, got evicted. As the episode began, Farah Khan called for 3 mystery boxes. Each box for judges, Chef Kunal's box, had one ingredient while Chef Ranveer 's box had a platter.
Usha Tai chooses Chef Ranveer's box. At first she was baffled on what to take. Faisu and Ranveer convince Usha Tai to take the fish mystery box. As the challenge begins, Usha and Tejasswi begin after 30 mins of those who chose Chef Kunal's box. Usha Tai then described her dish, Chef Ranveer warned her to buckle up and decide on what ingredients she would add to the fish and rice.
As the cooking went on, Farah Khan asked Usha Tai whether her fish was completely cooked as they kept reminding her that the knife technique didn't work in her chicken, and it was uncooked. While discussing, Usha Tai says, 'Farah ma'am aake Panvati lag gayi.' Farah says, 'Mujhe Panvati bola aapne?'
Usha Tai gets tensed and during plating, she ends up cutting the tail, which was actually the better part of the fish. As she brought the dish for tasting, Chef Ranveer gets disappointed seeing the half cut fish. After tasting, Chef Kunal reveals that the fish was overcooked. Though other elements were good. Usha Tai broke down in tears while presenting.
Later, during elimination, Tejasswi, Rajiv and Usha Tai's dish was in bottom 3. Usha Tai gets evicted, and Faisu breaks down in tears as he says, 'I pushed her to take that mystery box. I feel guilty that she got evicted because of me.' Usha Tai says, 'Main boli thi aaj subah ki main jaungi.' She calms Faisu and tells him that 'you are my son, I chose it because I wanted it. I trust you my Raja, tu sach bolne wala hai. Tu mera beta hai.' Both of them cry inconsolably while hugging each other.
Not only the cast but also Usha Tai bowed to the whole crew while leaving the show. Chef Ranveer recited a heartfelt poem for Usha Tai and stood at the door to see her off.
