The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 has brought a new beginning for experienced fast bowler Mohammad Siraj. Siraj, who was part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for seven years, will now play for the Gujarat Titans (GT). GT's home ground is the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, which is the largest cricket stadium in the world.

Siraj shared his opinion and strategy about this ground and said that there will be great opportunities for fast bowlers to take wickets here. GT, which is to land on the field under the captaincy of Shubman Gill, will start his campaign on Tuesday.

Siraj told Narendra Modi Stadium beneficial for fast bowlers

Mohammad Siraj expressed his feelings about his new team and home ground in a conversation with Boria Majumdar in the sixth season of 'Backstage with Boria'.
He said-
“I feel very good. This ground is very big as a bowler and the atmosphere here is fantastic. Fast bowlers get a lot of opportunities to take wickets here. It will be a great experience for me to be such a big ground. I am very excited.”

Siraj said on the preparation of IPL 2025

Mohammad Siraj also told about his preparations for IPL 2025 in this interview.

  • Keep himself fit during the break – Siraj said, “I was on break, but during this time I was continuously working on my bowling and fitness.”

  • Playing in the Ranji Trophy, returned to the rhythm – Siraj told that he played the Ranji Trophy and then focused on his fitness, training and bowling.

  • Always promise to give 100% – “When I have a ball in my hand, I give my 100%. Also, I don't think about more things.”

First day with Gujarat Titans and meet Nehra

Siraj also told about his first day experience with GT.

  • He said that the team's head coach Ashish Nehra welcomed him warmly.

  • Siraj said-
“Ashu (Ashish Nehra) brother gave me a great welcome. I was with him in RCB in 2018, and the support staff was the same.

Now what can Siraj do for GT?

Mohammad Siraj's arrival in Gujarat Titans will strengthen the team's fast bowling attack.

  • Their swing and pace on the big field can prove to be dangerous.

  • GT needed an experienced fast bowler in the death overs, which Siraj can play well.

  • Siraj, which has been backbone of a long bowling attack for RCB, can now play an important role in GT.

Now it has to be seen how strongly Siraj leads his new team and whether Gujarat Titans once again succeeds in becoming champions.
