Let us tell you that this incident started with Shakib Al Hasan last year. On 15 December 2024, the Relationship Officer of IFIC Bank Sahibur Rahman filed a case against Shakib and his associates. It is alleged that Shakib took a loan from the Banani branch of the IFIC Bank several times for his agrarian business. In lieu of this loan, the company issued two checks. But when an attempt was made to withdraw money from the check, it was found that there is not enough money in the account. As a result, both checks were rejected. The total price of this check was around 4.15 million.

Shakib did not appear in court

The bank sent a legal notice to Shakib Al Hasan. However, even after 30 days had passed, there was no response from them, then a case was registered in the court. On 18 December, the court issued summons against Shakib and four others. He was then ordered to appear in court on 18 January 2025. But Shakib did not appear in court that day. As a result, an arrest warrant was issued against him on 19 January. And this time on his birthday, the court ordered to confiscate his property.
