The Indian Railways rule says that if you have a confirmed train ticket, but you are unqualified to travel, you can transfer it to your children or life partner. Know one thing that in your place any other member of your family, such as your mother, father, brother, sister, daughter and wife, can be transferred confirmed reservation tickets. To make this process easier only, you have to meet railway officers in advance.

To transfer tickets, you have to submit the transfer request at least 24 hours before the time of the train. If the departure time of the train is less than 24 hours left and you are putting the transfer request then it will not be accepted.

Apart from relatives, ticket transfer can also be done in some more categories. In this, if the passenger government is MP and is on duty and is a suitable authority, then tickets can be transferred. If passengers are students of a recognized Educational Institute and the institute requests in writing 48 hours before the prescribed departure of the main train that the reservation in the name of any student can be transferred to another student of the same institute.
