A fire that started in the high-rise Neelkanth Kingdom Complex building near Vidyavihar Station in Mumbai claimed the life of one security officer and wounded another. The Mumbai incident Brigade (MFB) categorized the incident as a Level II fire after it was reported at about 4.35 AM on Monday, March 24.
Reports state that the fire was limited to five apartments on the first and second floors of the 13-story building, including electric wiring, installations, household items, wooden furniture, an air conditioner, and clothes. Shoe racks and wooden wall fixtures in the lobby sections were also damaged.
Fifteen to twenty individuals were successfully evacuated from the structure. Two people who were reportedly security guards were hurt in the event, however, and one of them was pronounced dead at Rajawadi Hospital. Security guards Uday Gang (42) and Sabhajit Yadav (52) were the casualties.
Gangan arrived at the hospital with 100% burns and was declared dead, but Sabhajit Yadav was only around 25% to 30% burned but is now stable. Firefighting crews worked hard to put out the fire and guarantee everyone’s safety, and by 7:33 AM, the fire was under control. The cause of the fire is being thoroughly investigated by authorities.
