Subhash's Jha,
Bollywood player Kumar i.e. Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif's film 'Namaste London' was released on this day i.e. 23 March 2007. It has been 18 years since the film was released. The film's director Vipul Amritlal Shah has made a shocking disclosure about this. Now you must be wondering what Vipul Shah has shared like this, so let's know…
Actually, Vipul Shah said that in the popular Bengali film 'Porran Jai Jolia Re' (Pijjar), many scenes, dress and many things were copied without permission from the makers of 'Namaste London'. He says that he did not know about this Bengali film until he had read an interview of the film's makers.
In this interview, he obeyed that many things of his film were like 'Namaste London'. Not only this, but Vipul Shah and many of his friends watched this film again and again and prepared a report on the similarities of both films. In this report, both films found many similarities and after that Vipul had also decided to take legal steps on it.
Yes, Vipul Shah's legal advisors from Kolkata believed that the maker of the Bengali film had completely copied 'Namaste London' and had all the evidence to prove it. Therefore, Vipul also felt many scenes of the film which were the same and hence they were also complete for law action. However, on this, Vipul also said that he does not want any compensation.
The Bengali film proved to be a big hit and also collected a good collection. Vipul said that compensation of five-ten lakhs does not matter to him. He said that if the makers of the film steal the scene without any fear by paying a little money, then it will be wrong and it will always happen.
Vipul said that we want to make this case an example, so that anyone should think twice before copying a film and there should be severe punishment for it. He said that I condemn the literary theft in any way. Also, by taking action against the Bengali film makers, I want to confirm that in Bollywood we should never follow the easy path to lend any successful film to get success.
