Part of the M5 in Somerset is currently shut in both directions. This is due to a serious crash that happened overnight on the northbound carriageway. Traffic monitoring website Inrix reports that the crash involved a lorry.

The M5 is currently closed between J23 (Bridgwater North) and J24 (Bridgwater South). The motorway is expected to be closed for some time this morning.
