FNG Expressway: The FNG Expressway is a 56-kilometer, six-lane expressway that will connect Faridabad in Haryana with Noida and Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh. The long-awaited Faridabad-Noida-Ghaziabad (FNG) Expressway has finally received approval from the Haryana government after 20 years.

Also, a 600-meter bridge over the Yamuna near Lalpur village has also been approved, with both Haryana and UP sharing the costs equally. This collaboration is expected to improve daily commutes for over 1 lakh travelers and boost economic development in the region.

Key Features of the FNG Expressway

The FNG expressway will span 56 kilometers and is designed as a six-lane road, expandable to eight lanes if needed.

  • Expected Completion Date: The expressway is expected to be completed by 2027.
  • States Covered: The project involves both Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.
  • Cities Covered: It will connect Ghaziabad, Noida, Greater Noida, and Faridabad.
FNG Expressway To Improve Faridabad-Noida Connectivity

Currently, commuters traveling between Faridabad and Noida have to take longer routes through Delhi’s Kalindi Kunj, leading to traffic congestion and increased travel time. The FNG Expressway will provide a direct route. Also, reducing traffic pressure and making daily travel smoother for thousands of people.

As part of this project, a 600-meter bridge over the Yamuna River near Lalpur village has also been approved. Both the Haryana and Uttar Pradesh governments will equally share the cost of construction. This bridge will be an important part of the expressway with seamless connectivity. Once operational, the expressway is expected to reduce travel time from Faridabad to Ghaziabad via Noida and Greater Noida to about 30 minutes. 

FNG Expressway: Over 1 Lakh People To Benefit Daily

In general more than 1 lakh people travel daily between Faridabad, Noida, and Ghaziabad for jobs and other purposes. The FNG Expressway will significantly reduce their travel time, helping businesses, job seekers, and daily commuters.

This new expressway will not only improve connectivity but also boost economic growth in the region. Better road infrastructure attracts businesses, increases property value, and creates job opportunities. Also, the project will help reduce traffic congestion in Delhi-NCR, making travel more efficient.

FNG Expressway: Haryana & UP Governments To Share Investment

To complete the FNG Expressway, both Haryana and UP governments will invest funds and work together. The Haryana government has officially approved the project, and the expressway map has been passed.

The approval of the FNG Expressway after 20 years is a big step toward better road connectivity in Delhi-NCR.
