The anime has kept fans hooked with 7 seasons so far and now its time for the 8th and final season. At AnimeJapan 2025's My Hero Academia FINAL SEASON stage event, the official series accounts unveiled a new teaser trailer and visual, revealing that the newest season will debut shortly. Here’s everything we know so far about the final season.

My Hero Academia final season release window

According to officials, My Hero Academia's final season will be released on Crunchyroll in October 2025. There is no exact release date yet. 

What to expect from My Hero Academia final season

The remaining Final War storyline, which started with Season 7, as well as the Epilogue storyline, will be covered in My Hero Academia Season 8, according to animemojo. Naturally, the conflict between Shigaraki and Midoriya reaches a climax in the Final War arc, ending the final conflict between Deku and All For One. 

Meet the crew

With series director Kenji Nagasaki serving as chief director and Naomi Nakayama in the director's chair at studio BONES, the crew from Season 7 is still working on the eighth and final season. Yoshihiko Umakoshi and Hitomi Odashima create the character designs, Yuki Hayashi composes the music, and Yusuke Kuroda again crafts the series' compositions and scripts.


What is My Hero Academia about?

My Hero Academia, which is set in a world where about 80% of people have supernatural abilities known as quirks, follows Izuku Midoriya and his classmates at U.A. High School as they train to become professional heroes who defend society against evildoers who abuse their abilities.
