When looking to add a player to your FC 25 Ultimate Team, players are finding themselves checking the PlayStyles rather than stats, with the right PlayStyles needed for players to perform in-game.
We've seen a host of different PlayStyles control the meta since EA FC 25's launch, with the Power Shot PlayStyle incredibly overpowered in the early stages of the game by . The publisher recently announced the addition of a Driven Shots PlayStyle in , and this got us thinking – what is the best PlaStyle in EA FC 25?

There are a total of 35 PlayStyles available to use in EA FC 25, with EA finally making PlayStyle Plus' available for goalkeepers when EA FC 25 launched. To find out which PlayStyle is best, we've ranked every EA FC 25 PlayStyle from best to worst.
We've put the new Driven Shot PlayStyle in last place, simply because we've not been able to use it yet, although from the Title Update 10 pitch notes, it looks like it could be very overpowered. Here are our EA FC 25 PlayStyle rankings, with 1 being the best, and 35 being the worst:
Finesse Shot - the most impactful PlayStyle, makes scoring goals from wide angles much easier and extremely overpowered.
Anticipate - drastically improves tackle success rate, also makes defenders feel much quicker when jockeying.
Long Ball Pass - an easy way to start an attack, switch play, and get out of trouble.
Rapid - speed boosts are very overpowered, and Rapid allows you to easily speed away from the defender and into space.
Tiki Taka - makes quick, first-time passes much more accurate, meaning you rarely lose possession in build-up play.
Incisive Pass - improves through balls, while also allowing you to make passes that you can't with other players.
Dead Ball - extremely useful for all types of free-kicks, also allows you to shoot from corners if the opponent moves 'keeper off the line.
Pinged Pass - adds much more speed to passes, allowing you to break through the lines with ease.
Bruiser - lets you brush opponents off the ball and win back possession when you aren't the favourite.
Technical - makes R1 dribbling feel much smoother and can make your players turn much quicker.
Aerial - not as overpowered as in EA FC 24, but if used right can be one of the best PlayStyles in the game.
Quick Step - not as impactful as Rapid, but can easily help you get away from defenders in tight spaces.
Intercept - Intercept is best with larger defenders, allowing them to easily cut out passes.
Far Reach - the best goalkeeper PlayStyle as it can help combat long-range finesse shots and trivela shots.
Rush Out - increases goalkeeper speed when coming off the line, but only effective when used correctly.
Press Proven - a good playstyle for attackers who are looking to keep hold of the ball in tight spaces.
Jockey - one of the weaker defensive PlayStyles, but it allows you to stay in front of the attacker and not allow easy passes.
First Touch - not extremely effective, but is helpful for midfielders when controlling the ball in tight spaces.
Trickster - fantastic for the , but unless you are great at skills, it can prove to be quite frustrating at times.
Power Shot - a few months ago this would've been the best, but EA nerfed it horrendously and now it's useless compared to finesse.
Whipped Pass - like Aerial, not as overpowered as in EA FC 24, but with the right attackers in the box, it can be useful at times.
Chip Shot - chip shots are hard in general, and the Chip Shot PlayStyle has never really helped when attempting to lob the 'keeper.
Cross Claimer - increases 'keeper speed off the line from corners, but that's all it's really good for.
Slide Tackle - slide tackling is risky the way it is in EA FC 25, and this PlayStyle has never really improved my chances of winning the ball.
Relentless - with most promo players having great stamina in EA FC 25, the Relentless playstyle feels pretty useless at times.
Acrobatic - sometimes works, but has never improved any part of the game when it does.
Block - does what it says on the tin, but it doesn't really add any value to defenders in-game.
Deflector - When it rarely works, it simply pushes the ball further from the goal. But again, rarely.
Power Header - heading is difficult in EA FC 25, and the Power Header playstyle doesn't help one bit.
Trivela - scoring long-range trivela's is easy with every player, even without the PlayStyle. I've never felt an advantage when trying Trivela's with someone who has this.
Far Throw - similar to trivela's, I've never noticed any difference in my goalkeeper's throwing when they have this PlayStyle.
Footwork - a useless PlayStyle for a goalkeeper, adds nothing of value to their game.
Long Throw - One of the most fun PlayStyles to use, but you can't select who takes your throw-ins in-game, so most of the time you don't even get to use it.
Flair - the worst PlayStyle in EA FC 25. A poor man's Trickster, and I don't think anyone knows what this actually does
Driven Shot - technically this is available in EA FC 25, but no one has this PlayStyle yet.
