India's middle -order batsman Shreyas Iyer finished second in the list of most runs. He scored 243 runs in five matches at an average of 48.60, he scored two half -centuries. Iyer scored 48 runs in 62 balls in the India Verses New Zealand final. He missed out on winning the Golden Bat Award by just 21 runs.

The fans expected a big innings in the final from Kohli but could score only one run. India defeated New Zealand by four wickets to win the title of ICC Champions Trophy for the third time.
