March 7, Mumbai Zeenat Aman, a veteran actress, spoke about an intriguing and a little “uncomfortable” moment in her career when a fan mistakenly thought she was the late, great actress Parveen Babi.

The seasoned actress answered a range of questions from fans during an AMA session on Reddit. “As a child, I would always get confused between you and Parveen Babi,” a Reddit member inquired. Have you ever been perplexed by fans in public?

The ‘Satyam Shivam Sundaram’ actress said that she was often confused for Parveen, but that one instance in Dubai really made her uneasy. “That was a very common mistake,” Zeenat wrote. I didn’t mind either since Parveen was beautiful! A lady in Dubai once thought I was Parveen and went completely crazy about me, but that was after she passed away. It was a very embarrassing time! I had to convey the bad news that her favorite actress was no longer with her, and it was very awkward.

“When a fan asked if there was any recent role she felt she could have portrayed, Zeenat revealed that she would have loved to play a character that was actually portrayed by Priyanka Chopra.”

Zeenat was asked by a Reddit member, “Hello, Ma’am! “Have you ever thought that I would have nailed this role in my time while watching the recent Bollywood films?” “I don’t know whether I would have nailed it, but I would have loved the chance to play Priyanka Chopra’s character in Bajirao Mastani,” the seasoned actor said. I was intrigued by the role’s complexity.

The actress from “Dostana” was questioned by another admirer on the changes in the business between then and today. Zeenat responded honestly, remembering that she was often the lone woman on the set.

“I am aware that there are many legitimate criticisms about the Hindi cinema business. The fact that women are contributing and asserting their position competently at every stage of the process, however, is a significant and encouraging advance, in my opinion. Being the sole woman on set was not uncommon in my day! Therefore, I think this is a really noticeable change,” Zeenat stated.

Zeenat Aman recently appeared alongside Shabana Azmi in “Bun Tikki.” The Palm Springs Festival 2025 had the film’s international debut, which was directed by Faraz Arif Ansari.
