This actress became the second wife of H.D. Kumaraswamy, the former Chief Minister of Karnataka.

The film industry is full of love stories that seem like they’re straight out of a movie. Some are so dramatic that people wonder if they’re even real. One such story is that of Kannada actress Radhika Kumaraswamy, whose love life not only made headlines in the entertainment world but also created a political stir. Radhika entered the film industry at just 14 years old. With her beauty and talent, she quickly became popular and landed multiple film projects. She starred in movies like Neela Megha Shama and Iyarkai and won hearts. However, it wasn’t just her films that caught people’s attention – her personal life became the center of controversy.

At a young age, Radhika fell in love with businessman Ratan Kumar. Her family strongly opposed the relationship, but the couple eloped and got married in a temple. Their marriage faced a lot of problems, and in 2002, things took a serious turn when Ratan Kumar filed a police complaint against Radhika’s father, accusing him of kidnapping her to stop her from acting in films. Her mother, however, claimed that Ratan had manipulated Radhika into marrying him.

Unfortunately, Ratan Kumar passed away in 2002 due to a heart attack, leaving Radhika in emotional turmoil. Years later, Radhika found love again – this time with a much older and highly influential man, H.D. Kumaraswamy, the former Chief Minister of Karnataka. Their relationship remained a secret for a long time. It wasn’t until 2010 that Radhika admitted she had secretly married Kumaraswamy in 2006.

At the time of their marriage, Kumaraswamy was 47 years old, 27 years older than Radhika. This was his second marriage, as he had previously tied the knot in 1986.

Radhika’s father was completely against her marriage to Kumaraswamy. However, she chose love over family approval and kept the marriage hidden for years. When her father finally found out, he was deeply shocked.

Although Radhika’s acting career didn’t reach great heights, she built a successful business empire after her marriage. According to media reports, she now owns assets worth Rs 124 crore, while Kumaraswamy’s net worth is Rs 44 crore. The couple also has a daughter.
