Today we will tell you about one such scheme, under which many states are running various schemes to promote inter caste marriage and provide financial help in marriages. Rajasthan government gives financial help up to 10 lakh rupees

Rajasthan Government provides the most financial assistance to promote inter-caste marriages. Rajasthan Government provides assistance of up to Rs 10 lakh to couples marrying inter-caste under Dr. Savita Ben Ambedkar Inter-caste Marriage Scheme. Earlier this amount was Rs 5 lakh, which has been increased to Rs 10 lakh.

Under the scheme:

  • Rs 5 lakh is placed in fixed deposit for 8 years.
  • The remaining Rs 5 lakh is transferred to the joint bank account of the husband and wife.

UP government gives Rs 51,000 to married couples

UP Govt Marriage Scheme: The Uttar Pradesh government provides financial assistance for the marriage of daughters of poor and needy families. Under this, assistance of Rs 51,000 is given.

The following classes get the benefit of this scheme:

  • scheduled caste
  • Scheduled Tribes
  • Other Backward Classes
  • Minority
  • poor families of general category

Eligibility Conditions:

  • In rural areas the annual income should not exceed Rs 46,080.
  • Annual income should not exceed Rs 56,460 in urban areas.

In Madhya Pradesh, assistance is given through the Chief Minister Kanya Vivah Yojana

Under the Madhya Pradesh government's Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivaah Yojana, financial assistance of Rs 51,000 is given for the marriage of daughters of poor families. This amount is transferred directly to the beneficiary's account. Application for this scheme is done through online mode.

Financial help for marriages in Gujarat

The Government of Gujarat promotes inter-caste marriages under the Savitaben Ambedkar Inter-caste Marriage Assistance Scheme. This scheme is operated by the Director of Scheduled Caste Welfare, Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of Gujarat.

Financial assistance of Rs 2,50,000 is provided under the scheme. This scheme is run with the joint contribution of the Central Government and the State Government, in which both contribute 50-50 percent.
