SBI Amrit Vrishti Scheme: The State Bank of India is running many special FD schemes to benefit its customers. One of these is the 'Amrit Vrishti Scheme'. This is a special FD scheme with a duration of 444 days. This is a term deposit scheme. SBI Amrit Vrishti Scheme was launched on 16 July 2024. In which investment can be made till 31 March 2025.

This scheme aims to give returns to the customers at competitive interest rates. Both domestic and non-resident Indians (NRIs) can avail the benefits of this scheme. Under the scheme, general customers will get 7.25 percent per annum and senior citizens will get a 7.75 percent per annum interest rate. Domestic retail term deposits (including NRI term deposits) whose amount is less than Rs 3 crore. This will apply to new deposits and renewal of existing deposits.

Benefits of the scheme

You can invest a minimum of Rs 1,000 in the scheme. There is no maximum investment limit. Monthly, quarterly, or half-yearly interest is available in this scheme. The loan can be taken on the deposit amount under this scheme.

What will happen if money is withdrawn prematurely from the scheme?

On deposits up to Rs 5 lakh: 0.50 percent penalty
On deposits of more than Rs 5 lakh and less than Rs 3 crore: 1 percent penalty.
No interest on deposits withdrawn before 7 days.
There is a waiver on penalties for SBI employees and pensioners.
