KCET 2025: KEA announces document verification schedule, guidelines; check here
New Delhi: Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has released the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2025 document verification guidelines. Candidates who have applied for the KCET 2025 entrance exam can check the notice on the official website of the authority at kea.kar.nic.in. The KCET 2025 registration is underway and will be conducted till February 18, 2025.
The KCET 2025 exam is scheduled to be held on April 16 and April 17. KCET will be conducted in two shifts- shift 1 will be from 10.30 AM to 11.50 AM and shift 2 from 2.30 PM to 3.50 PM. The KCET admit card will be released on March 25, 2025.
KCET 2025 document verification guidelines
- Those who have claimed Clause Code ‘A’ and who have not studied from Class 1 to Class 10 in Kannada medium, rural, religious or linguistic minority reservations but whose 7 years of study have been verified through SATS will get a claim certificate as successfully verified. Such candidates need not visit any college for verification and it means that the application is accepted.
- Students who have claimed clause code ‘A’ and studied 10 years from Class 1 to Class 10 and claimed Kannada medium, rural, religious or linguistic reservation will receive the claim certificate printed as ‘Claimed Verified or Claimed not Verified or not Claimed’. Such students need to meet the principal of PUC or Class 12 studying college or the nearest Government PU college along with the relevant original documents and one set of photocopies for verification of the documents in the format mentioned in the official website of KEA.
- The schedule for document verification for students who have entered Clause codes ‘B’, ‘C’, ‘D’, ‘I’, ‘J’, ‘K’, ‘L’, ‘M’ and ‘N’ other than clause code ‘A’ will be published in KEA website.
- Students who have entered clause codes ‘E’, ‘F’, ‘G’, ‘H’, ‘O’ will have to get the academic documents verified in the PUC or Class 12 studying college. But documents to Defence, Ex-Defence, CAPF and Ex-CAPF should be submitted thereafter for verification in KEA.
- The caste and caste-income certificate RD numbers are being verified online. Hence, students to check the validity of the certificates and enter the RD numbers correctly in the application.
- The principal of the colleges will click on OK after the verification process is done. In case of any forgery or fake documents, KEA will debar such candidates from the counselling process and criminal action will be initiated.
