Washington [US], February 7: “Phineas and Ferb,” the animated musical-comedy television series, is almost back!
Dan Povenmire and Swampy Marsh, co-creators of the adored series, said that the new episodes will premiere on Disney Channel and Disney+ this summer.
Fans who have anxiously anticipated the return of the creative stepbrothers are looking forward to new adventures in the next season.
According to a statement sent by the executive producers to Variety, “Since Phineas and Ferb is basically a celebration of summer vacation, summer is the perfect time to debut the new season.”
“Reentering this universe has been so much fun, and the whole cast and crew have given it their best. We’re excited to see how the fans respond to what is turning out to be our best season to date,” they said.
The reboot, which Disney Branded Television announced in 2023, would consist of 40 episodes spread across two seasons.
“Very few shows capture pure fun and creativity like Phineas and Ferb,” said Ayo Davis, president of Disney Branded Television, who expressed her excitement for the show’s comeback. In October 2024, Variety revealed that the original voice cast will return for the revival.
Ashley Tisdale will once again voice Candace Flynn, Caroline Rhea will voice Linda Flynn-Fletcher, David Errigo Jr. will return as Ferb Fletcher, and Vincent Martella will resume his role as Phineas Flynn.
Alyson Stoner will provide the voice of Isabella Garcia-Shapiro, while Dee Bradley Baker will reprise his role as Perry the Platypus.
Marsh will also provide the voice of Major Francis Monogram, while Povenmire will portray the legendary Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz.
The ‘Phineas and Ferb’ television program, which debuted in 2007 and drew a sizable audience of kids and adults, ran for four seasons, 126 episodes, five one-hour specials, a musical, and two films until ending in 2015.
Disney said the next season will come after ‘Phineas and Ferb’ as they start a new season of 104 days of summer.
According to Deadline, Perry the Platypus continues to live a double life as Agent P, whose job it is to stop Dr. Doofenshmirtz’s continuous efforts to seize control of the Tri-State region, while Candace is more desperate than ever to catch her younger siblings.
